Pentecost marks the moment when the risen spirit of Christ departs the apostles for the last time. He promises to be with them always and sends the Holy Spirit and Her 7-gifts unto them, which appears like tongues of fire above their heads.

We have been led to believe this moment was a turning point for all apostles, but yet the Gospel of Mary reveals an important part of story that has been missing: Spirit can only meet us where we are. We must be willing and open to receive the grace and believe what She sets before us. Hence, the descend of the Holy Spirit to open the eye of the heart was a very different experience for the Magdalene versus the other apostles, just as it is different for each of us. 

This traditional 9-day novena offers a gentle unfolding and remembering of the 7 Gifts of the Alchemy of the Holy Spirit. We work to remember what is available to us through prayer, reflection, and spacious inner listening.

Rooted in the wisdom of Mary Magdalene, Mother Mary, and inspired by the Holy Sophia through contemplative prayer, each week invites a new way of encountering the Spirit — not as an idea, but as a living Presence that we draw up and in, until we are outwardly transformed.

The gifts or fruits of the Sophia offer us the transformative inner wisdom and spiritual authority we seek. Designed for those who are longing to remember the gifts waiting for us, this novena will reconnect you with the Holy Spirit in a way that is honest, embodied, and deeply personal.

About Tammy Babinchak

I am an author, spiritual director, and founder of the Magdalene Center for Healing and Holistic Wellness. I was born and raised in the Catholic faith and was a devout practicing Catholic for 44 years before being awakened and called by the Great Mother and Magdalene.

Experiencing the inner and outer transformative healing of the practice myself, I have finally set out to share my story and teach others the how to heal themselves by practicing The Way. 

I am also a specialty trained Infectious Diseases Doctor of Pharmacy, who spent the last 18 years my life supporting patients and working with communities of researchers developing medicines for the treatment of Hepatitis C, HIV, PBC, and now C3G/IC-MPGN.
